The national Energy Conference brings together top energy experts, trend forecaster, and industry leaders to share timely information, best practices, and regulatory overviews. The Conference creates the perfect opportunity to CONNECT, COLLABORATE, and INNOVATE alongside global drivers and decision-makers focused on creating opportunities that accomplish the goals of an energy independent America. I assisted with the graphic and written content for marketing the conference to prospective attendees, sponsors and the media. I wrote e-mail campaigns, promotional articles for an industry magazine as well as web and social media content. Working on this conference demanded I understand the client and its audience. It strengthened my ability to ask the right questions and create an effective, consistent campaign.
I wrote a promotional article for an industry magazine educating potential attendees and financial contributors to the Conference. It’s critical to know your target audience, know the latest industry news, and be able to relate to those you’re talking to especially when it’s on behalf of someone else, the client. To make this information engaging, I created infographics and an easy to follow layout with captivating headers. I also wrote a sales script to be used in soliciting sponsors for the Conference. My writing style goal is to 1) Captivate, 2) Educate and close with a 3) Call to Action. Intentional and personal writing creates a powerful ripple. I learned to utilize space and condense the good into great.
